A family-orientated video game publisher and developer

Created in January 2007 by Marie Pierre Juthier and Emmanuel Drouin, the Franco-Belgian company, Game Life, is a new and independent video game publisher and producer, eager to provide fresh perspectives for the hand-held and new generation console market. Game Life invests in projects before finding distribution partners, a totally new approach in the video game industry, but one familiar to the film industry. It is Game Life’s ambition to become a major player in the world video game market, through the quality of its content and by creating durable products for the European and American markets.

Our approach to production is long term. We invest heavily in production time to develop to guarantee quality, originality, and relevance. Our main targets are families, children and female players. Other publishers believe that these categories, newcomers to the gaming world, are less “demanding”. We, on the contrary, believe that, having been introduced to gaming via Nintendo, they have become used to high quality games. We believe such players soon learn to recognise what makes a good game.

All our games are developed in collaboration with external development studios, the most talented in the world. We select the best partners for our projects so as to deliver accessible content that is easy to pick up and enthralling to play and share. As the video game market expanded, Game Life established an early foothold in the new-generation console market, and today can offer games exploiting the full potential of the new formats. We are convinced our rigorous quality requirements are the right way to make our players want to come back and keep playing our games.

The Game Life catalogue is based on the Experience Life, My Hero and forthcoming Easy Life ranges.
The Experience Life range: the first Game Life game on Nintendo DS, Horse Life, was released in October 2007.
The game was highly acclaimed by players and press alike, and has sold more than 400,000 copies in Europe and the U.S.
Horse Life 2 is due for release Christmas 2008 on Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii and PC CD-Rom.
