Here’s your chance to obtain autographs of two of the most important people in video game history. When you think of the biggest names in video games, you may think of some of the greatest influences in game development, design, and gameplay such as Shigeru Miyamoto or Hideo Kojima (any many others). But let’s go further back… not quite as far as the first video game ever made, but the first home console.
Ralph Baer Signed Index Card – Known as the father of video games, Ralph Baer began development on the “Brown Box” which later became the Magnavox Odyssey (first home console). If it wasn’t for his ideas, the entire world of home gaming may have been very different. He also invented the popular color pattern game Simon and the light gun technology which was used for years. This card has been signed by the man himself
Nolan Bushnell Signed Index Card – Who is Nolan Bushnell? He is a co-founder of Atari… Yes, that’s right, Atari began with Bushnell. He also had some ties with Steve Jobs and the early days of home computers, but things didn’t work out at that time with Jobs and Atari. Wow, if only he could have seen what was coming. Another card signed by a huge figure in video game history.
Big thanks to Stefan M. for submitting these great auctions!
Here are a few more for today…
Castlevania Legends – This is the rarest Gameboy game in the world (subject to some debate). This auction isn’t for a sealed copy, but it’s as close you can get without being actually sealed.
Warcraft Lot – There is a lot of interesting stuff here not only from the original Warcraft series, but World of Warcraft as well. I’m not the only one to think so… the bids are stacking up high.
Sega Mark III – It’s an interesting collectible for Sega fans. This console includes the original box, but there is some very clear wear on it.
Scitron 5th Anniversary Neo Geo Collector’s Box – Inside you get World Heroes & World Heroes 2, Art of Fighting & Fatal Fury 2, the Fatal Fury Soundtrack, the Art of Fighting Soundtrack, and the Fatal Fury 2 Soundtrack. All of this in one awesome looking box.
Trial Dreamcast Set – The orange stickers show it to be a complete set. There aren’t that many of these left in such condition.
Phantasy Star Online Episodes I & II Plus (GC) – This is one of the rarest games for the Gamecube. True, the Gamecube doesn’t get much attention these days, but Nintendo collector’s know what they want.
