Albert Wesker’s GSX Watch

Here’s a nice auction coming from the Resident Evil franchise. It’s the Albert Wesker character watch from the Gamecube remake of the game(or REmake). It’s by the company GSX who make high quality watches and operate out of Japan. Their main site is in case you wanted to roam around there. This is a very rare watch and the only time I’ve seen these watches for sale were from this seller.

Although the watch is nice, the price is very high and I can just imagine what else you could do with 4k. The watch isn’t even new so I don’t know what the basis is to price something like this so high. It would be nice to own Weskers watch, but I think I’ll hold onto my 4k :).

Seller says:

“Selling here is an ultra rare Resident Evil / Biohazard Japanese watch for one of the biggest iconic villains in video game history, Albert Wesker. The watch is limited to 502 and is from the very rare GSX S.T.A.R.S. watches that were made exclusively by GSX in Japan back in 2001/2002. They were made with the authorization and collaboration of Capcom. This particular watch – the “GXS031 S.T.A.R.S. AUTOGENA DEEPER Albert Wesker Model” – is #176 of only 502 made, and is the rarest model of all the GSX watches made for the game. This limited edition number is featured on a sticker on the side of the outer case, and is also engraved into the back of the watch itself. These were instantly sold out and I have been the only seller selling these original-release GSX watches on eBay. This is a replica of the watch that Albert Wesker wears in the fantastic Resident Evil “REmake” video game that was re-made and re-imagined especially for the Nintendo Gamecube. There are two straps that come with this watch – the black metallic strap that you see on the watch in the video game, and a canvas style black strap (not featured in the game). Both straps are fully interchangeable with the handy tool that comes with the watch in the inner presentation case. The presentation for the watch is beautiful. The watch itself is housed inside a hard, dark brown hinged case with a smart silver metal plaque on the lid that says “Biohazard” and a metal clasp at the front. When you open the inner case, you see a shiny metal plaque in the center, and written on it is “Biohazard”. The metal plaque was cleverly turned into a “secret compartment” in which an exclusive keychain only made for this watch is concealed in along with extra metallic parts for the strap. On the keychain is written “BIOHAZARD SUSPECT” and “Game of the GSX029″. This plaque can be placed back into the hard grey presentation foam that lovingly showcases the watch and the original price tag on a leather strip embossed with the word “Biohazard”, which still displays the recommended retail price of 59,000 Yen. The dark brown display case fits inside an outer cardboard display case (grey). The instruction manual is also included, which is written in both English and Japanese. The watch is used, but has been worn for a period of 6 months. There are signs of usage such as scratch marks and some fade on two of the inner metallic strands(please look at pictures). There are some minor scuffs on the back edges of the outer cardboard display box, and a slight scratch mark to the front. The overall condition of the watch is in very good, and is very much in the state to be displayed in your collection. This is as close as you will get to owning Albert Wesker’s watch so don’t miss your chance. If you have doubts about this model, look at the pictures I have of Albert Wesker from the game”

  1. Yup, seen not only this one but Rebecca Chambers and Barry Burtons watch. Yeah they are rare and even in YJA they go pretty high, well passed 2k but no where priced this much. I haven’t seen Albert Weskers watch on auction before. Chris Redfields watch appeared on eBay a couple of times so these gsx watches aren’t impossible to find.
