Apex Legends Player Count Reached 50 Million

With a game that was out only one month ago today, it’s success thus far has impressed many in the industry. As rumors were swindling around that Respawn Entertainment was working over the Titanfall 3, Apex Legends hit the market as a new Battle Royale game. The game started breaking Fortnite’s record and reached 25 million players in a week. No one was expecting these numbers. But here we are and Apex Legends player count already reached over 50 million players. Respawn entertainment Vince Zampella announced that Apex Legends has passed 50 million players with a video of what the players did in the first month.

Problems Will Arise?

First of all, Apex Legends is free and that creates a huge market and opportunities as well as problems. Secondly, the game has a unique teamwork based Battle Royale. No other game in the Battle Royale genre has something like this. However, Apex Legends Player count reaching  50 million in a month might be creating problems in the future. The game is still relatively new. It can start to become a bubble. There are problems in Apex Legends which everybody knows it. There are balance problems, bugs, glitches and inconsistent servers etc.

However, players will put up with these problems until they start spending money on it. There is no season pass yet so it is overlooked a little. However, over the long run, these problems need to get fixed. EA and Respawn know that they may have a winner here with a number such as 50 million players in the first month. We hope they can continue this because competition for the market is always good. Recently, Fortnite was accused of ripping off Apex Legends. However this means they acknowledge Apex Legends as a serious threat and they do not have bragging rights anymore. We will see what will happen in the future.
