Popular streamer, Ninja, exploded in 2017 when Fortnite became the most popular game in the world. Fast forward two years and Coby “Dizzy” Meadows is doing the same thing with Apex Legends. All it takes is for one game to blow up for new names to be discovered.
Brief History On Dizzy
The ex-CS pro did not come out of the blue. His Twitch grind started way before his success in Apex Legends. Before it’s release on February 4th 2019, Dizzy would stream Fortnite and CS:GO, on a daily basis. His following sat at around 24,000 on Twitch. He was averaging under 10 new followers per stream. Typical signs of a streamer who puts in his daily grind to gain exposure and get noticed.
With Apex Legends live, Dizzy cut his content over, from the first day the game was available. Fans quickly noticed his exceptional gaming skills. He was also the first person in the world to reach max level 100. His records include, most kills in a game, 33, and the first player to reach 5000 kills. Dizzy also became one of the first Apex Legends players to be picked up by an esports organization,NRG eSports.
The icing on the cake was when he was paired with KingRichard and Ninja as squadmates, winning the first-ever, Twitch Rivals Apex Legends event. With hundreds of thousands viewing the event, Dizzy delivered when he needed most. He single handily carried his team. This could not have come at a better time, by gaining exposure playing with Ninja and the viewers that come with him.
Now, Dizzy has new teammates and has been getting stellar results at Twitch esports events with Aceu and Mohr.

What Makes Dizzy The Best Apex Legends Player?
There is a list of things that can be discussed of what separates Dizzy from the rest, but there are three things that stand out.
The obvious answer for any pro player, they all do, is having razor accuracy. However, Dizzy’s aim is on a different level. His first hit ratio is in the “Shroud” league. But it’s what happens next that separates him. His ADS remains above the shoulders and does not move regardless of what his enemy movements are. His Wingman accuracy is off the charts as he takes pistol play to a whole different level. From close to mid-range, the Wingman is by far Dizzy’s weapon of choice. His accuracy with the Wingman is by far the best in the world at the moment.

2. High IQ
As players become accustomed to a new game, their perception and decision making changes. Logging hours is the only way to learn in any game. Apex Legends is a little different when it comes to decision making. When engaged in a fight there are so many defining elements to decide from, things can go wrong in a second. Although IQ comes with time, some players just have a natural knack of making the right moves at the right time. Shields and Healing times make up for vital parts of Apex Legends. Do you heal, push or dis-engage? Dizzy’s high IQ can’t be taught because of his natural awareness. He makes players around him better because of the split decisions he makes. The following clip is a perfect example of an incredible Dizzy high IQ gameplay.
A critical element in Apex Legends is rotation and map awareness. Dizzy is one of the first players to have introduced the Float Rotation. Using balloons to cross map and pinpoint squads below to engage with. Some may think floating or gliding further is not a big deal, but to the contrary, its the best way to get the highest visual sets of the map below. Knowing exactly what is going on below, matched with Dizzy’s high IQ, equals dominance. Here is an example of Dizzy’s long gliding:
Although the game is very young and new players will surface, for now, Dizzy is the top player in the world. There can be an argument with “Shroud” fans claiming his status, but Dizzy is just the next level right now. It will be interesting to see what new Apex Legends players will emerge as the game continues to grow in popularity.
