Each of these teams were on match point, meaning they were all very close to each other. They had a 50 points threshold after 10 matches. 50% of all teams have a chance of winning the championship. They have to win the next match to be declared the Preseasonal Invitational champion. The player with the most kills in the finals is given then Apex Predator Award worth $8,000 USD. After 9 matches in the finals, 9impulse from NAVI is the player with the most kills (21), but he is closely followed by ImperialHal from TSM. Selly from Wyvern and clawz from Navi all have 20 kills.
One of the best players in the tournament was Dizzy, who has been carrying his team to the finals. If NRG Dizzy was able to bring his team to the finals and win the championship, he would have godly status in the world of Apex Legends.
Final Match in the Preseasonal Invitational
After a 10 game series, Navi, G2, and PENTA have gone 5 straight games with match point not able to close it out. TSM had four straight games on match point. In the end, it was anyone’s game. the biggest surprise on the leaderboards was MVP and Virtus.pro, two very good teams missing out in the final 10 spots with 49 and 47 points in the end.
As match 11 started, all tams were being careful in choosing their landing spots, making sure that they would be able to loot an area as much as they could to get the upper hand. It took a while for some action to happen, and teams started to dropped fairly quickly after the first circle closed in. Throughout the entire match, TSM was the most consistent team, sticking together and using their abilities efficiently all around.
Towards the end of the game, three teams were left; MVP, GamersOrigina and TSM. If MVP won, they would push everything to a match 12. Here’s the final outcome:
