Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a huge success for the Infinity Ward and Activision. Especially after the release of Warzone the Battle Royale mode. However since the beginning of the game in last September there was a problem with weapon balancing. In the beginning, M4 was so good it was used by almost everyone in the multiplayer lobbies. M4 got a nerf afterward but it was still used until GRAU 5.56 came into the Call of Duty. Afterward, the player base was divided on which gun was better. Especially on Warzone where long-distance fights are much more common these weapons surpassed weapons like MP5. Pro player and streamer Scump explained why he prefers M4 over GRAU.
According to Scump the reason is simple. He is a controller player therefore M4 acts much better with controllers. As he stated that with M4 it is reliable and he knows where the recoil will be, however with GRAU sometimes the recoil goes randomly. This will change how players will take a look at their weapons. Also, he stated that the GRAU is a much better PC weapon since it is easier to control the weapon on PC than controllers. We need to keep in mind that both weapons recoil can be minimized with the right attachments and in a Battle Royale like Warzone for example ADS speed is much less important than for example long-distance damage.
Warzone Battle Royale became extremely famous and the game already passed 70 million players mark. This new game mode will be supported by the Infinity Ward and Activision in the future. However, they stated that a new Call of Duty game will come out with each year as it was in the past. Therefore we are expecting the support to continue on this game but the map will change with each game. We do know that the new Call of Duty game is already in the works and we are expecting it to be set in the Vietnam war era rather than modern times. This era will give access to better weapons and it does have some historical value.
