Cinematronics Manuals, Flyers, and Space Wars PCB Board!

Cinematronics Manuals, Flyers, and Space Wars PCB Board!

We’re really going back to the past today. Does anyone know what the first video game ever made was? The answer: Space war! This game was made by Steve Russell at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) using a monster of a computer which would take up an entire room!

Of course, this was in the 60’s. Later on in the 70’s, a man by the name of Larry Rosenthal sold the game to Cinematronics and the arcade version was born. Today, I would like to show a few rare items from Cinematronic’s history (space wars).

This is a PCB board for Space Wars which is the arcade version of Space wars (first video game ever made). The board is currently here on eBay for a great price.

Here are a few more great and interesting Cinematronics items:

Dragon’s Lair Arcade Flyer Framed – Here’s the original flyer made to show off Dragon’s Lair before it’s release. The flyer has been framed and is a perfect game room item.

Space Ace Arcade Flyer – An original flyer for Space Ace (known to some has Dragon’s Lair 2).

Star Castle Manual – This is an original manual for Star Castle which was one of the first arcade machines made in the 80’s.

Rip Off Manual – This is a re-print of the manual for Rip Off. It has no real value, but collectors may want to experience reading the manual.

Space Wars Service Manual – Here’s a re-print of the Space Wars service manual. I mentioned it’s history above. Keeping that story in mind, it would probably be an interesting read…
