5. Owen “smooya” Butterfield

Owen Butterfield, also known as “Butterfield”, appeared on a big stage last year when he joined the German team, BIG. Later, he showed us many times that he has incredibly talented.

The British player left BIG at the beginning of this year. That was his decision because, as he said, he didn’t really feel like part of the team. Although he was the best BIG’s player alongside TabseN, he decided to start looking for a new team who can speak English while playing.

Smooya is still part of BIG, but they accepted his request to set him on the transfer list. According to rumors, smooya’s price is $30,000, which is not a really big number in comparison to some other players.

He proved that he is a good player last year. So, if there is any team that needs a new AWPer, smooya should be their choice.

4. Martin “STYKO” Styk

Although STYKO is not actually a free agent as he plays for NoChance, there is no contract that obligations to keep him there. On the contrary, he plays for NoChance as a “Stand-In” after mouz released him from their squad. The Slovakian player didn’t play consistently in the last 12 months, but he is still one of the best Support players in the CS:GO scene. That’s why we put him on this list of Top 5 CS:GO free agents players.

We could say that mousesports’ form started declining when Snax replaced STYKO in the European squad. Although STYKO is known for his exceptional fragging skills, every good team needs a good Support and STYKO plays that role fantastically.

3. Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey

In the last several years, kioShiMa has not stayed on a team for more than one year; making him quite the active player in terms of changing teams. His skills are definitely not a reason behind this problem as he was one of the best Cloud9 players alongside flusha in the past few months. The French player also played for the most elite teams such as FaZe Clan, Team EnVy, and Team LDLC. That’s also the reason for him being part of our list of Top 5 CS:GO free agents players.

His former teammate, RUSH, said that kio is a great player and teammate. Nevertheless, he didn’t want to fit the style of the team. On the contrary, he preferred to play the game in his own way. As a result, he had to leave Cloud9.

KioShiMa recently said that he would like to get back to the EU scene. So, we will see if any European team is going to use this opportunity to sign the famous French player. It will be really surprising if no EU team tries to bring kio to their squad.

2. Robin “flusha” Rönnquist

Here is another former Cloud9 player. Everyone knows flusha for his “fishy” plays. Namely, he managed to pull out some incredible wallbangs and through-smoke kills. So, he is one of the most suspicious players among fans when it comes to cheating. But of course, these accusations are not valid as flusha is one of the best players in the world.

When flusha parted ways with Fnatic, CS:GO fans thought that they were not going watch flusha at the highest level again. Nonetheless, he was undoubtedly the best Cloud9 player while he was playing under their logo even though he was IGL most of the time.

When flusha left NA team, he said that he wanted to stay away from professional CS:GO scene for a while. He made his decision due to personal reasons.

Several months already have passed since flusha left Cloud9, and he is still a free agent. It’s just a matter of time before he finds a new team.

1. Miikka “suNny” Kemppi

It was quite surprising that sunNy wasn’t a part of the new Mousesports squad when the European team made some roster changes. On the contrary, the European team moved him to the inactive squad. So, he is not really a free agent, but he is looking for a new team. On HLTV Top 20 players of 2018 list, sunNy was the 16th best player, which makes the whole situation even more surprising.

Before he joined mousesports in August 2017, he played for ENCE and Penta Esports. The best period in the history of mouz began right after suNny joined the European team. SuNny won four big trophies and recorded many other great results with mousesports until the end of 2018. That definitely helped him a lot to become the 16th best player of 2018 according to HLTV. Also, that’s why he is on our list of Top 5 CS:GO free agents players.

Although mouz most likely set suNny’s price pretty high, it would be surprising if he doesn’t find a new team soon.
