The OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 is approaching soon. Eight participants from different regions are fighting for the prize pool of $300,000 and a crucial 500 DPS points. Thing are heating upas we are nearing the playoffs. With all matches done completed, let’s take a look at what has happened so far.
Group A. Analysis
Royal Never Give Up finished in group 1 at the top. The relatively young Chinese roster, with LaNm in charge managed to win all the matches. They got three decisive wins so far, beating tough opponents NiP, CIS and BOOM ID. They are going to face newly created NA team Forward Gaming on April 25 in the Dota PIT Minor Playoffs.
BOOM ID is another promising Asian team. Although they lost their chance to visit Paris Major, the squad mastered up its strength and qualified to Minor standing up against WG.U, EVOS, and Neon. With final score, 2-1, they will face off EHOME in playoffs.
Ninjas in Pyjamas, the European esports organization was having hard times, despite having three experienced players. They showed promising results in the closed qualifier for the Paris Major. Yet, the team placed third place in the group. They managed to beat only one team, Gambit.
Gambit finished Second place in the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, second place on ESL One Katowice Major, first place on Weplay Valentine Madness, and last place in the group A on OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019. Nobody knows what went wrong this tournament. Is it an outstanding performance of Asian region or poor preparation of the team? Fng’s team captain is known for his cutting-edge strategies, so let’s hope they’ll show their best in playoffs against Alliance.
Group B. Analysis
Everyone has been waiting for this moment. Alliance, an iconic European organization, is back with impeccable strategies and outstanding performance at the Dota PIT Minor. They made it through the qualifier without a single defeat hitting the first place in the group; 3-0 was the final score. They managed to get a victory in a single game of the group. Perhaps this is the time for Alliance to shine.
Newly-fangled SA roster Majestics is another promising team. Tha’s the thing about underdogs. You have no idea what to expect from them as they are unpredictable. That is exactly what happened to EHOME and Forward Gaming. They suffered excruciating defeats from young and talented players. I’s only Alliance who could stop their never-ending win streak. Apart from that, Majestics has a good chance to win the tournament. We will see how it all works out in playoffs where they’ll face off with Ninja in Pyjamas.
EHOME, a prominent Chinese organization with legendary players on the board, was able to pull out a single victory against Forward Gaming in the final match of a Dota PIT Minor group stage. Nevertheless, we should forget that the’re playing without their main offlaner. Whatever the case may be, le’s hope they will show their best in the playoffs against BOOM ID. After a spectacular match with frenzy team fights against FWD, we can really see that they are hungry for victories.
