Final Fantasy Painting

Today I’m going to focus on some really unique Final Fantasy collectibles and other Squaresoft related items. First I’ll be displaying some decent Final Fantasy sealed games starting off with the rarest of Final Fantasy sealed games, Final Fantasy 2(US version) but before I even get to that I’ll showcase a rare Final Fantasy VII Yoshitaka Amano Cloud & Aerith Painting/Lithograph Final Fantasy Painting:

This is a remarkable portrait. Yoshitaka is the artist for the Final Fantasy series. He does regular exhibitions here displaying his art which at some events he sells them. These were made in limited quantity and this particular portrait is limited to 200. A very nice piece at a very decent price compared to others that were on ebay.

Next to the Sealed games:

Final Fantasy 2 Sealed VGA 70+

Final Fantasy 2 Sealed VGA 85+This is a gorgeous copy and so rare. The price is high but someone will surely buy it.

Final Fantasy VII Sealed This is a common copy, no Y-Fold or mis-print which leaves me wondering why sellers list it high. Your best bet is to keep an eye out for regular auctions. I’d pay $400 for a y-fold mis-print.

Final Fantasy 7,8,9 Sealed Not bad for 699 but there are a few dings and cuts to the wrappers.

Up next is a rare Chrono Cross music box. These were released in limited numbers by Squresoft and to have one with the box is rare in itself. Any Chrono Cross fan will be missing out if he/she doesn’t get this. It’s the rarest of the Chrono Cross collectibles. Some might argue that the chronopolis watch is rarer which in quality they might have an arguement but music boxes are by far the most desirable. The price is very decent, give the best offer a try.

The next few items are rare Final Fantasy merchandise. some OVER PRICED, others at a decent price. I remember the Blitzball selling for 2500 YEN back in the day but it’s since become a rare commodity hence the price for it now $299.99. I’ve seen them sell for $500.

The Final Fantasy NES Orb was a prize handed out to contestants of the 1990 Nintendo Power contest. Only 50 were made but that doesn’t mean you shove it on ebay and sell it for a quarter of a million dollars. I could understand someone paying 5k but 250k? I’d rather invest in an apartment in center Tokyo.

This is ridiculous. I wouldn’t have posted this but I want to make a point clear. Although a prototype is in fact rare, they don’t go selling for 4k. This Final Fantasy 7 Aerith Chrome is a prototype that was won on YJA for $350 and it’s not the only one of it’s kind. They made a few copies of these prototypes so there’s more than one “0000”. With that said I think the seller still has’t awaken from his “Fantasy”.

This is a North American Final Fantasy VII display. I remember the displays being different here but that’s a nice looking 3-d promo. These tend to pop up on auction so either wait or make an offer.

Finally I will list some nice autographs for Final Fantasy and one Miyamoto autograph. It’s nice to have a hand signed game or art from the creator or artist:

Yoshitaka Amano “Worlds Of Amano” Art/Signed

Upon the release of Final Fantasy XIII, Yoshinori Kitase(creator) and Isamu Kamikokuryo(Art Designer) when to a few countries to promote the new FF game in the franchise. They made a stop in the U.K and did some signings. Since the release people who went to the signings put their games up on auction. The first few auctions, like always, ended really high, some over $700! Since then they have declined and sold around the 50-200 mark depending on the version. This is the limited edition version signed by both Yoshi and Isamu. A nice piece to have in your collection:

Final Fantasy XIII Signed

Hard to tell if this is a real Nobuo Uematsu autograph. I know his autograph is not consistent and varies depending on his mood. I’ve seen his signature in 5 different ways but buyer BEWARE, why would someone get a FF 8 greatest hits signed instead of the original? It’s just speculation but it’s odd to get a GH signed, surely he had other FF games he could have gotten signed.
