Fortnite Air Strike is Here

Fortnite Battle Royale patch v9.30 3 is adding the Air Strike in the game, and players are already complaining about it.

Fortnite Air Strike is Here

The 14 days of Summer event is over and now we are fast approaching the Fortnite World Cup Finals. However, we are seeing still new items added to Fortnite. This is where Epic Games excel; continuously making fresh content. They are updating the game as much as possible. However, this sometimes creates miscalculations and problems. This might be the issue with the new Air Strike item. But first, let us check the new Fortnite Air Strike.

This item works like a grenade; you throw it and there is a colored smoke. Wherever the smoke canister lands, missiles start to fall down from the sky. These Missiles spawn about 120 meters above the canister. These missiles drop-down within 9 meters of the canister.  The Air Strike contains 20 missiles per canister. These Air Strike missiles have an explosion radius of 3.5 meters. A direct missile hit deals 75 damage to players and 200 damage to structures. Players can find an Air Strike from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, Vending Machines, and Llamas. You can only find 1 with a max stack size of 2. Air Strike only has a Legendary variant.

Here’s the trailer of the new Fortnite Air Strike.

Of course, many players are thinking the item is a little bit overpowered. It does feel that way when you watch it in the video. But maybe the biggest concern is that it is released just before the Fortnite World Cup Finals. This item can destroy the final circle building battles in an instant. It certainly has the potential to do so. 200 damage to structures with a radius of 3.5 meters is off the charts. Let us check what the players said about the new Air Strike.

As you can see from the likes on these comments many of the players are sharing concern over the new Air Strike item. It may be legendary but you can win a game just by throwing it. Therefore, we will see if this item will make it into the Fortnite World Cup.
