Fortnite is doing something they have done never before. For this weekend only, Fortnite is giving 2XP to players. Not would be a good time to rank up!
Fortnite is Giving 2XP This Weekend
Fortnite Battle Royale is a game filled with Microtransactions. However, because the game is free most players never really questioned this. After all, companies need to earn money to keep on providing awesome games for us. This has been the case since the beginning of this game. They have a better system than most games out there which makes it easier for them to generate cash flow. However, things on Fortnite’s end is not going amazing. It does look like the game is reaching a plateau. As we have said before Fortnite has a free to play system, therefore, their income is not based on sales for the game. Their income is based on how many microtransactions are sold.
The game reached a plateau with only a 62% present rise on their revenue since last July. This is normal considering the game is getting older, and it’s getting harder to pull players in. But of course, Epic Games does not want this train to stop yet. So what is the connection between this and our title for this article?
Battle Pass Level 100
First of all, generally Fortnite players prefer to buy the Battle Pass. But Battle Pass system has a flaw. Which is simple and easy to see. You need to play a lot in order to reach level 100 on the Battle Pass. Some players do not have this time. Therefore Epic Games decided to fill this gap with a 2XP event. Therefore more players will have an incentive to play the game and earn and get the vibe for the game again.
Every game has an Expiration Date. This is inevitable one day another company will make a much better game and take over. This season was not that amazing for players especially with the problems with the introduction of BRUTE and discussions that did not produce any solutions besides nerfs. Is Fortnite player base still healthy?
It is hard to say. Most of the gaming companies hare their sales figures and we can see on websites like steam charts how much players are online. However, we cannot see that with Fortnite. But the game is still running very well and easy to find matches. So we can say Fortnite still has some time.
