- Fortnite Battle Royale is changing its map again, and Epic Games just added two more Rift Beacons.
Fortnite Season X started with a lot of new and controversial additions. The map did not get a complete rework like players were hoping for, however, they learned that every week or so there will be changes coming to the map which would be exciting and offered something fresh. It was a more versatile change needed for the game. That’s when Epic Games added rifts beacons. These rift beacons would start to change the map and affect the environment. They are also connected with games lore. The Stranger is back and interestingly the BRUTE’s are tied with him, therefore, Epic Games cannot even scrap them out from the game for now (despite their controversial past).

Of course, these changes are coming with their own rules also. For example, Neo Tilted turned to Tilted Town. We have seen that players cannot build in that zone. Which was an interesting aspect in a game where “building” is even more important than your aim. As we have said before, the map reverted back to Season 4 before the meteor strike hit. We have seen several Rift Beacons until now, but this time we are seeing 2 different beacons at 2 different locations.
The first Beacon is at Paradise Palms and the second one is at Frozen Lake. These Rift beacons will change the map for sure. Additionally, the Rift Beacons found near Dusty Depot is not for that location. Dusty Depot is used as a Logistics Supply place for Rift Beacons. Any Beacons placed on map is produced in Dusty Depot.
Fortnite Season X changes are getting more and more frequent after the feud between Epic Games and the community on BRUTE. These map changes are also criticized by some players as Epic Games being lazy with the game. But with nearly an update a week Epic Games is trying to keep things interesting for the fans of the game.
