- Assasin’s Creed Valhalla is revealed by Ubisoft the game will be taking place during the Saxon-Viking Wars.
Assassin’s Creed series truly changed over the last few games. The game used to be a stealth game and today it is an RPG with some stealth abilities. The worlds that Ubisoft created is enjoyed by the players, for example, the latest edition Assassin’s Creed Oddysey had an amazing depiction of Greece. We did know that after each game is completed Ubisoft is looking towards new cultures to explore and timelines. Yesterday we have seen the reveal of Assasin’s Creed Valhalla and now we have the cinematic trailer for it.
The trailer does look amazing. We are in the Saxon-Viking Battles period and we will be controlling a Clan Leader from Scandinavia. We will be settling to present-day England with our armies. During the trailer, we have seen some interesting details such as Odin appearing first as an old man and later appearing as a crow. This further proves that this Assasin’s Creed is going to have a bit more supernatural side. There is also settlement management in the game. However, maybe the most interesting part is going to be sea battles. Sea Battles are an integral part of the series since AC4: Black Flag. Just like pirates, Viking ships were important to their culture so expect naval battles.
Ubisoft is using many things to their advantage, over the past few years series like Vikings and The Last Kingdom showed us these periods. The marketing for the game is already done by the series. The interest to those was high and we are sure that many players will be eager to play as a Viking Warrior during battles. There is a possibility of having bigger battles since these times were known for their huge battles between Danes and Saxons. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s expected release date is Holiday 2020.
