Who Are The Women Of The PMS Clan?

One of the oldest competitive gaming groups in the world is PMS Clan. In fact, they are older than many recognizable esports organizations we know today. The all-female gaming group was formed back in 2002 and was known as the “Psychotic Man Slayers“, however, the name was changed to Pandora’s Mighty Soldiers. The clan is the most popular all-female gaming clan and played mostly on Return to Castle Wolfenstien on Xbox Live and Unreal Championship. However, the clans reach grew outside of Xbox Live and reached other platforms like PlayStation and PC.

PMS Clan was founded by Amber Dalton and Amy Brady, also known by their gamertags “Athena Twin” and Athena/Valkyrie. Amber Dalton was named by The Next Generation Business as one of the “Game Industry’s 100 Most Influential Women” for her work in the PMS Clan. Amber competed in many different titles including Gears of War, Halo, and Fight Night which she was ranked in the top ten. She is currently at Twitch as the Director of Event Sales and Sponsorships (source). Amy Brady, on the other hand, was part of Ubisoft’s Frag Doll team (no retired). She was also part of the first all-female team to win a pro circuit tournament at CPL in 2006 on Rainbow Six Vegas. Additionally, Amy competed in many other FPS games where she won multiple championships. She currently works at Ubisoft and Twitch where she does esports strategy and event directing (source).

Currently, the PMS newest Clan’s leader is RaShaun “RaylaDivine” PMS since 2019, and co-leader Krystal “Ovaryacting” PMS. There are many members who make up the core of the PMS Clan, and play an integral part to the clan’s growth. Some of the other members are:

  • Vanessa “Vira” PMS – Xbox General
  • Samantha Kara Zor-El PMS – Halo Leader
  • Krystal “ShesNotGood” PMS – Call Of Duty Leader
  • Heather “Turtles” PMS – Gears of War Co-Leader
  • Heather “Ardroxian Rayne” PMS – Destiny Leader
  • Betty “She Wolf ” PMS – Destiny Co-Leader
  • Malia “Mythic Pink” PMS – Battlefield Leader

Going Back to 2002

PMS Clan was founded on Xbox in 2002, and one of the first games that the PMS Clan started playing was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Back then, the Xbox ruled multiplayer. PlayStation 2 was lagging behind in terms of performance which is why most players online played on Xbox. The only difference between the two platforms was that players on Xbox had to pay for those superior servers, while PS2 players played online for free. Still, most of the competition was on Xbox Live in 2002. In 2004, the PMS Clan gained traction and formed a PlayStation division, expanding their presence online. The same year they launched an EU Division.

In 2005, there was a lot happening. PMS’ ally, H20 was founded, and they launched their PC division. In 2007 and 2008 they reached the LATAM, Asia, and Oceania regions. As of this writing, the PMS Clan state on their website that they have a community of “60,000 strong women and allies“.

The clan had divisions in many different games, specifically in Halo where they gained much more awareness than they did on Return to Castle Wolfenstein. According to their Wikipedia page, they have divisions in:

  • PC (Counter-Strike 1.6)
  • PlayStation
  • Xbox (Unreal Championship)
  • Wii (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)

On their website, it also shows they play games such as: Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Destiny and Battlefield. The PMS Clan consists of all women, however, their ally clan “H20” consist of all men.

According to an old 2008 post on UrbanDictionary by FashionVirtuosa, the girls of the PMS Clan would attend events like E3, a multitude of tournaments and competitions (such as MLG) to gain traction, and the ages ranged from 13 to 51 years old.

“The women and young ladies of PMS represent talent, integrity, knowledge, maturity and the ability to own a guy who talks trash without saying a word. The girls range from 13 to 51 and it only proves no matter how old you are, you can still kick butt in halo. PMS has a many supporters including their boys in their counterpart clan H2o. These men are boyfriends, husbands, sons, good friends and/or supporters of these strong women.”

PMS Clan Getting Back Into Esports

Recently the PMS Clan made headlines by announcing they were going to recommit to supporting their players in the competitive scene. With esports growing at incredible rates, it only would make sense that one of the oldest clans in gaming would go back to their competitive roots and represent the clan on the global stage.
