Schalke have bought the seed and the rooster of team Elements in EU LCS Summer 2016 which they announced on 16 May 2016. Schalke is actually an esports department of the football club that was created back in 04 May 1904.

Hard Years

FC SCHALKE 04 esports had turbulent years  where not everything was clear in the water, but hey have evolved from 2016 and matured into a solid team. In 2017 they have won 18,000 EUROS at the EUCS 2017 Spring Playoffs and Summer playoffs, thus engraving their names in the League of Legends Esports league.

In 2017 they have managed to get a coach Mitch “Boris” Voorspoels , who helped them secure the second place in EU LCS 2018 summer playoffs and won 50,000 euro.

They have dropped down to the Challenger Series after their LCS debut, but we can say that Schalke are the underdogs. As they almost reached worlds in 2018, this year might be their year as they are ready to grow double in 2019 and might actually win the “LEC”.

The history they have under their belt is quite amazing as they have achieved a lot of success in such a short time. They are the first European team to go undefeated for an entire Challenger Series season.

In 23 November 2018 they have signed a contract with their new head coach Dylan Falco.

Past Achievements of Dylan Falco

Falco started his working experience as an Analyst for Team Solomid for a short period of time, till August 2015 when he transferred in  September 2015 to H2k-Gaming till and then moved to the team Immortals where he was working as a coach. He managed to help the team Immortals win NA LCS 2016 Spring PlayOffs in third place (prize winnings being 15,000$), and then in the Summer Playoffs the team helped Immortals reach third place again (15,000$). He also helped Immortals reach IEM season 11 Gyeonggi in third place (!10.000 winnings) and he worked there till November 2016.

Even with all this success, team Immortals didn’t renew Dylan’s contract. Lucky for Dylan Flaco, he found team EnVyUs in January 2017 till May 2017 and his career reached new heights when he got an offer to be a coach at Fnatic.

Success with Fnatic

Dylan managed to win  $655,255 (190,00 euros) with the team only at the Worlds 2018 where they got second place. Fnatic received $303,750and let’s not forget past events as EU LCS 2018 Summer Playoffs where Fnatic got the third place (30,000 euros) then they got 7th place in 2017 Worlds (200,000 euros) also they have participated in EU LCS Spring and Summer where they got 1st place winning (160,000 euros) and in the break between Spring and Summer LCS Fnatic have participated în the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational where they got 3rd place(134,000 euros) and Right Rivals 2018 NA-EU where they got 1st place (20,000 dollars) .

In November 2018 Dylan moved to the team FC Schalke 04. We can say that with his success at LCS, and all his experience under his belt; he’ll definitely bring a lot of value to the FC SCHALKE 04 esports players as he did with Fnatic.

Will Dylan Falco be able to help FC SCHALKE 04 esports win the “LEC” and maybe even the Worlds? We will stay tuned for that…
