League of Legends – Coach Dylan Falco Departure Connected to sOAZ?
Late last week, Dylan Falco shook up the League of Legends world with his announcement on Twitter saying: “Fnatic has given me permission to speak with other organizations before I become a free agent on November 19th.“. The tweet had gained some traction as it was retweeted 189 times with 2k+ likes (as of this writing). Today, Coach Falco is in talks with some organizations in LoL and probably won’t make any type of announcement by the end of the month. So the question that everyone’s asking; When is Coach Dylan Falco Departure?
Accomplishments
Coach Falco joined Fnatic in 2017 (May) after coaching the Immortals and EnVyUs in the North American League of Legends Championship Series. During Coach Falco’s time with Fnatic, he has displayed an impressive showing as their coach. From Gamepedia, here are some of his tops accomplishments:
Flaco had impressive placements with Fnatic in 2018, finishing 1st at the EU LCS 2018 Summer Playoffs eSports and EU Regional Finals in 2017 eSports. With two appearances at the LoL World Championships as a coach.
The last tournament with Fnatic was at the Worlds 2018 Main Event where he led Fnatic to a 2nd place finish, and a top 4 spot at the mid season invitational. Although Fnatic lost all 3 games to Invictus Gaming this year, there was a lot of positives that Fnatic took from the tournament.
However, despite the successes, Falco will be looking for another team to coach.
Connection?
Prior to Dylan Flaco’s announcement on Twitter, Fnatic professional gamer “sOAZ” made a tweet on November 11th mentioning that he had receivd permission from the team to do some soul searching before becoming a free agent on the 19th of this month:
Fnatic has given me permission to speak with other organisations before my official free agency on the 19th.
Looking forward to many more years at the top. pic.twitter.com/jTSum4xSdC— Paul Boyer (@sOAZ) November 11, 2018
The tweet gained a lot of traction, gaining more than 14,000 likes and 2k retweets.
Followers quickly noted his great achievements from his tweet pic.
Since both Falco and Paul Boyer made their announcements public, we haven’t heard from them since.
Is is a coincidence that both are leaving roughly around the same time? Could there be more back story to their eventual departures?
Stay tuned…
