N64 Employee N Sports Basketball Limited
Here’s a cool item. An N64 Employee N Sports Basketball given to employees.
So basically, if you weren’t part of the “crew”, then you weren’t ballin yo.
This basketball is supposedly super rare. I personally never seen one for sale before and it seems the seller is a dealer of rare Nintendo items and searches long and wide for rare collectibles.
Take from the description of the auction:
This is a limited edition N Sports N64 promotional basketball. This one has never been opened from its original plastic wrap. According to the collector I purchased this from there are less than 20 of this specific color scheme and size that exist in the world. It was given to Nintendo representatives in the mid 90s as an award internally in the company for high sales in a region. I will ship this in a complimentary display case. One of these has not been available for sale online in many years. Please message me with any further questions.
So let me get this straight. Less than 20 of this specific color scheme exists in the world. So I guess there’s more of these “N Sports Basketballs”, however, the color might be different.
Instead of Brown and White, it might be Black and White. Well I’m not sure how rare it makes this particular color scheme, or if it merits the $1,200.00.
$1,200.00 is the asking price. So I see two things happening here.
1). The seller never sells it for that price.
2). The seller gets lucky and a hardcore N64 collector that has been hiding under a rock for decades see’s this item and falls in love with it.
I mean if the basketball was signed by the entire N64 N Sports Development team, then yeah, it could fetch a decent price but nothing near $1,200.00.
But who am I to judge how much an items worth? In the end it’s really subjective and maybe a bunch of you are calling me crazy to downgrade the value of this basketball?
In any case, the link is above. You can check it out yourself. I mean the basketball has never been played with before so that must count for something? Don’t worry, there’s some more cool items below that won’t hit the bank hard so check them out!
Other Collector Items:
Official Nintendo of America Response Letter 1996 Super Mario 64 Photo Inquiry – Here’s a neat letter from the 90’s. It seems like two kids named Dave and Kathy (I assume brother and sister) wrote a letter about submitting their high score. It’s really a cool piece because this was the hay-day of the Nintendo 64 (or N64) and a rep actually card to respond lol. Rarely seen nowadays from personal experience.
Vintage Mello Smello Nintendo Mario Zelda Link 1989 Glow In The Dark Stickers – Glow in the Dark + Nintendo = EXPLOSION!

The Twilight Princess standee is one of the nicest Zelda displays I’ve ever seen (next to A Link to the Past shield display). A beaut to add to your gameroom.
1st Limited Edition Anniversary Hardcover Book of Sonic the Hedgehog Art – Decently priced with a best-offer option.
Atari 2015 Baseball Cap Black Adjustable Snap Back – I don’t care what any of you say, this is a BAD ASS hat! If it wasn’t a snap-back hat which I hate, I’d be all over this. LOVE the retro Atari colors in the background. Such a stylish piece!
