- The World Finals for the GIRLGAMER Esports Festival will be held in Dubai this December. Active regional matches are still underway as teams are qualifying for the finals.
GIRLGAMER Esports Festival World Finals
The GIRLGAMER Esports Festival is the world’s biggest event to celebrate and promote women in competitive gaming. Since 2017, the GIRLGAMER Esports festival has been going strong, having events all around the world. The 2017 Finals was in Macau and in Portugal in 2018. This year, the World Finals will be in Dubai this December showcasing the very best female CS:GO and LoL teams.
The regional events are held before the finals to have the best female gamers compete for a spot in the finals. There are four regional events, with the first event in Syndey Australia already wrapped up. The last three events are:
- Seoul, South Korea (Sep.8th)
- Madrid, Spain (Sept. 28-29)
- Sao Paulo, Brazil (Oct 5-6)
The best teams from Oceania, Asia, Europe and LATAM will be competing at these events. Additionally, the World Finals will include talks from industry leaders, awareness panel discussions, pro players meet-and-greet and much more.

Format of Finals
GIRLGAMER hasn’t released any info on the format for the finals, however, the format for last year’s finals in Portugal was:
- Double-Elimination bracket
- The initial, losers’ and decider matches are Best of 1
- All other matches are Best of 3
Last year’s Finals had a prize pool of €10,000 EUR, with the top four teams in the finals placing in:
- Dignitas Female
- Team Unknown
- eParadise Angels
- Besiktas Esports
