PlayStation 5 Release Date and Details

PlayStation 5 Release Date and Details
  • Sony Playstation 5 is coming sooner than expected, and gamers will get to have a chance of buying the next-gen console during the holiday season in 2020.

Sony Playstation has been one of the biggest companies in gaming for nearly 25 years. We have seen many consoles from them, each with a revolutionary aspect to it. The definition of “consoles” means comfort generally. You can just sit on the couch, open your console and just play your game without any worries like a video card frying for example. Of course, the console has its own drawbacks but they have also the biggest player base. Mostly because of the price range and ease of access is making the consoles a comfortable option. Sony is doing this for nearly 25 years and they are the biggest console manufacturer in the world. PS4 was released 6 years ago and it was a massive success. Today we are seeing the release date and the first details of Playstation 5.

When Will PlayStation 5 Be Released?

Sony PlayStation 5 will be released at the end of 2020 during the holiday season. The news came from a Special interview with Wired and apparently it’s going to be called PlayStation 5 which was unexpected. Players were not expecting this because most of the player base was expecting some other name according to the leaks. However, it is officially going to be called Playstation 5. This means that PlayStation 4 also had a 7 year lifetime. Seven years before that we have seen the PlayStation 3 for the first time. Of course, this does not mean that PS4 production will stop. Playstation 5 will be released on the 2020 Holiday Season. The dates can change for some countries.

Also, the new controller (Dualshock most probably) is coming with the PS5 and it will have haptic feedback featured. The controller will be much more immersive than the typical ones. Switch discontinued the Haptic Feedback feature but Sony is taking a step towards this direction regardless of its competitors.

Another interesting use is apparently adaptive triggers. For example, a game developer will be able to program and use these buttons as represented in-game just like a tension force driving a car for example or drawing a bow. Players will be able to feel this. Also finally the charging is going to be USB-C type.

In their interview with Wired, Sony did not talk that much about their new and improved SSD. However, we do know that Sony is developing a new SSD that will allow players to open games much much faster than before. Also, players will have the option to download only the multiplayer part or even a single mission of a game if they want. This unexpected change will allow players to play their favorite mission over and over again. Also, it will save a lot of SSD space since if you want you just download the multiplayer part of the game.
