Nintendo Power Trading Cards, Window Stickers, Vintage Messenger Bag… and a Fishing Lure

Many people often make strange comparisons between eBay and local flea markets. Sure, better deals are easy to find at a flea market but the reach of the location of course limits what you’ll find. There are simply tons of items on eBay you will never find at a flea market no matter how many weekends you spend looking for the rare and strange. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try though… just do both. 😉

Nintendo Power Challenge Trading Cards Set of 50 with Binder – A very nice set of cards not worth the asking price by far. Looks like a dead end auction to me as I’m not sure what offer the seller may accept. Still, you never know.

Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 Prize Fishing Lure – This was a prize awarded during a Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 competition. I’m not sure if this was part of the Satellaview broadcasts but that would really be something if it was. Some of you may know the name Itoi Shigesato from Mother (Earthbound); he was the designer behind the series.

Rockstar Games Table Tennis NYC Tournament Ball – A ball used inside the Rockstar Games building in NYC during a tournament. I can’t back that up with proof but I see no serious reason to doubt it.

Fairchild Channel F System II with Box – The box is in horrendous shape due to crammed storage and water damage. Still, it’s a very old console and it’s going to the highest bidder.

Vintage Pac-Man Messenger Bag – Made of heavy looking material. There are no straps on it other than those that keep the flap closed.

Pack of 5 Pac-Man NES Gradiente Brazil Games (4 Sealed) – Here’s a random find you wont see at any flea market. Perhaps not the most valuable item NES-wise but I’ve never seen a full pack of Brazilian Pac-Man carts and I doubt I will again for some time.

The last group of auctions are for some Nintendo window display stickers. None have been used yet and the protective sheet is still on each:

Mario vs Donkey Kong Window Sticker – Donkey Kong

Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga Window Sticker

WarioWare Inc Super Party Games Window Sticker

Mario vs Donkey Kong Window Sticker – Mario

  1. I agree with regards to flea markets, and even Craigslist to an extent. Personally, geographically speaking people in certain areas are much more likely to find better promotional items and the like starting off at flea markets and/or Craigslist.

For example, I know a guy from Redmond, WA, which is where the Microsoft headquarters are. He gets tons of rare things from Craigslist and flea markets only to turn around and sell them on Ebay for a profit…Some of the rarer items start of local where these companies and their employees are located, only to end up on Ebay where the rest of us can fight over them…

As you said, Akira, both are good and even necessary…

Keep up the good work guys!
