Out of this World Prices Equals Rare Video Game Auctions

Just as the title says ladies & gents, we have some incredibly rare video game auctions with out of this world price tags! But in all fairness, some of the items are pretty damn rare so no surprise with the high price tags. However, I believe the NES retail binder should go down a couple of thousand(s!)…

My favorite auction right now is this 10 Years of Service Capcom Employee Plaque! This thing is beautiful and one of the first employee plaques I’;ve seen issued by the company. I’ve seen PlayStation, Xbox , Atari and PlayStation plaques but haven’t seen them from gaming companies like Capcom. Seller says: “I got this direct from the Employee. The picture has been edited to not broadcast the employee name. This was not by any means a low level employee. Their name can be found on Games and literature from the 1990’s +”. The desk plaque is 4.5 inches tall and weighs 1 lbs. It’s really a rare item (and expensive!), so I don’t think this one will sell anytime soon. Submit your best offer and see what happens.

Video Game Auctions:
Sega Master System Black Console (NTSC) (FACTORY NEW) 95 GOLD LEVEL Graded – A while ago we made a post about Video Game Quality, an independent game grader that has started grading games and selling them on eBay. The grading scale can be found on www.vgquality.com. So every item comes with an acrylic case, grading plaque and vgquality seal sticker. It’s been very interesting to see the guys do their own thing and they have sold items that have been graded. I don’t see to many people reselling these, but I’d give them some more time before other collectors catch on and start giving these guys the credit they need. It takes time and a lot of positive transactions to establish a loyal customer base. Right now they have a Sega Master System that’s given a 95 Gold Level grade. In my honest opinions after looking at the box and condition I believe it’s too high. It’s not completely off as the box itself has some minor flaws, but enough to be below be SUBJECTIVE. There’s not one universal scale that everyone uses because what person A will see won’t be the same as person B, so there’s always a discrepancy with grading. Nonetheless, this is an EXCELLENT example of a brand new Sega Master system and the price/offer (despite the grade that you believe should be) isn’t bad. Sellers asking $3999 or best-offer.
The First Generation BRAND NEW NEO GEO AES GOLD SYSTEM U.S (VERSION) – Another system that could get it’s own grade from VGA or VGQ. The NES GEO gold system without a grade is still very expensive and any game collector can appreciate this jewel. One of the best consoles for it’s time (and expensive). Not many people were able to afford a Neo Geo so finding on now is still hard (at the right price of course). Sellers asking $6800.
(Child’s Play) X-Play – Microsoft Xbox 360 S Limited Edition Halo 4 Bundle 320 GB – 100% of the final sale price will support Child’s Play. Auction description says: “It is time to rejoice for Halo fans, as your favorite game is also available with the limited edition Halo 4 bundle of the funky-looking glowing blue Microsoft Xbox 360 S console. Including an exclusively designed console, two customized Halo 4 controllers, and the game, this Microsoft Xbox 360 S video game system is the perfect addition to your entertainment setup. Integrated with Wi-Fi, this video game system lets you access the Internet and stream HD movies or download games in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound from Xbox LIVE. With a massive disc space of 320 GB, this Microsoft Xbox 360 S console also lets you store the downloaded content. You can also use the dedicated port to connect with this Microsoft Xbox 360 S console and activate the intuitive Kinect Sensor for a more immersive gaming experience. So, enjoy your Sundays, playing on the Microsoft Xbox 360 S console.”
Atari Air Raid – $5900 or best offer. I believe this is the same cart that’s been listed in past months.
Nintendo Retail Binder Nes Snes Rare Retro Vintage Video Game Collector’s Item – Not the best auction description and especially at that price you’d figure the seller would put some effort into adding details of the item. It’s basically a merchandiser’s manual that mentions all the games/ accessories that were out at that time. So anytime there were technical questions regarding a specific product employees would refer to this manual. Plenty of interesting ads/notes inside the binder. Price is definitely out of this world but you can certainly give it a shot with your best offer. Seller is asking $49,999 or best offer :).
Lot of 795 Japanese Game Boy Advance COMPLETE ALL TITLE Cartridge GBA Nintendo – Like the title says, every Game Boy Advance game! This has been on eBay for a while now and the seller offered 12% discount (so a savings of $696 off the original price tag!). Check out the auction. Seller
s asking $5104.
Nintendo “Check it out” Neon Game Cabinet Nes Game Boy Retro Vintage Retail Sign – Here’s a store sign that you RARELY see. It’s in excellent shape and was basically a “Check It Out” sign which retailers would place the latest game inside this sign. Pretty cool item and definitely something you don’t see every day. Seller is asking $1699 or best offer.
Nintendo World 3D Silver Wall Sign Rare Retro Vintage Collector’s Item Nes Snes – Same seller as above except this is for a 3D store display. One of the nicest store display’s I’ve seen for Nintendo! Wow, just look at the chrome finish and how “Nintendo” is sticking out. Seller’s asking $1199 or best offer.
World of Nintendo 3D Wall Sign – Rare Retro Vintage Collector’s Item Nes Snes – Again, same seller as above. Where does he get these signs from? I recognize his name because we’ve featured other Nintendo signs from him in the past. All are in amazing shape as well so it’s interesting to know if he’s got more hidden in the back of his room.

On top of the Nintendo signs, seller magix_buttons has some other impressive video game auctions so check em out bu clicking here!

Good luck!

  1. Oh wow! That’s hilarious and some crazy detective work. Is that Sega Master system the same one that he bought for $410? I’m at work so I can’t read your whole article but this will be an interesting read tonight.

Btw Darksol, did you get my last email? Would be interested to know your what your thoughts are.

  2. they are all scumbags. Video game authority and now this wannabe video game quality. Video game authority would be less of the two evils since even I know that vgq seller is a joke. He does have some nice stock but he jacks the grade to get extra $$$.
