Poker – Bar Machines and Plug & Play Home Systems

Poker is one of the oldest and most played games in North America. This passion people have for the game makes it obvious that it will show up in video game form again and again reaching eternally into the future. It’s not just the thrill of winning a hand that makes Poker so great. It’s the psychological side where bluffs and pot manipulation that gets your heart pounding. I myself play Texas Hold’em quite a bit and get a big kick out of the calculating skill involved.

Today I’ll be listing two machines meant to be set up in bars for betting purposes and two other TV plug & play systems for play at home. There’s no end to the varity of these machines, but these four are above average in quality for the price.

World Series of Poker Heads Up Challange – This machine is great for taking someone on to prove that you’re the best around when it comes to Poker. This bar machine has a bill acceptor for pay-and-play but can also be set to a “free” mode. Please keep in mind however that this is an American machine and will accept only American bills.

Video Poker Touch Screen Bar Top Casino– This new in box Poker bar machine features a touch screen to give the player a more interactive playing experience. The machine also features 7 different game modes: Draw, 2’s Wild, Bonus Poker, Double Bonus Poker, Double Double Bonus Poker, Jokers Wild, Double Jokers Wild. It’s a great buy for either home or bar use.

World Series of Poker Plug & Play TV Game – This cool system is new in box and is basically untouched. The main system plugs into your TV while up to six players can enjoy the game at once. This is the best way to play a video game version of Poker with other people because the control shows your hand which keeps it hidden which is the point! This system also offers 10 different variations of play.

vsMAXX Texas Hold’em Video Game System – Here’s another home system that plugs into a TV which is also new in box and is in perfect shape. This one is dedicated to Texas Hold’em which is the most popular game in Poker these days. Once again, this system can support up to 6 players.

  1. I have to admit I’ve recently been watching poker on T.V and it gets quite intense. There’s ups and downs like an emotional rollercoster. Will look more into poker…

  2. If you want to get into the game Kenji, join PokerStars.com and I’ll give you some “play money” chips to start out. $3,000 is a fraction of my current play money winnings (seriously).

Also, to the VGA readers, if you want to take me on in either Texas Hold’em on Xbox Live or PokerStars, send me a message and I’ll give you some tips… as I humble you at the table lol 😉
