Professor Layton Hat,Sonic 20th Anniversary Statue,TurboGrafx-16 Neon Sign

Sonic the Hedgehog’s 20th Anniversary Statue by first4figures is one of the hardest collectibles to find right now. These statues are limited to 900 worldwide but there are plenty of websites that mention 1000. According to first4figures, the 20th Anniversary Sonic figures were released June 16th BUT were not available for sale(most of us know this by now). There are two different versions; one for the US and one World Wide(or as f4f says, “Sega of Europe”). The only difference between the two versions is what’s shown on the TV screen. It depends on where you live. If you grew up in the US, you will have the artwork that was from the US cover of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis, and vice versa for the rest of the world. But like all first4figures statues we do not know how many were split between the US/World.

Now how the heck so you get one of these statues?? I’m still trying to figure it out so if anyone has an idea please comment :). I’m sure that there were plenty of contests spread around for these. But I have a feeling that if you were a frequent buyer from f4f, accumulated a lot of points(via their membership card), you would get one of these statues. That’s my guess. The seller also does a good job on not writing any details in the description about how they got the statue. All I know is that anyone who has this statue is keeping their mouth shut. It would be pretty funny if Sega sent an official letter with the statue to all who received one saying, “DON’T SAY A WORD OR YOU’LL BE IN OUR BLACK BOOK!” haha.

Anyways, there is actually one of the statues available on eBay. It’s #248 out of 900 and currently at $943.02! There’s a day left so I’m interested to see how this auction will end.

Other Video Game Auctions:

Professor Layton’s Hat (Lot) – Even though this lot isn’t insanely rare I still love this auction! I’ve always wanted to get my hands on the professors hat. Auction’s currently at $16.24 US and comes with a hat, rubik cube, sticker set, poster and keyring. Great deal if you ask me.
Professor Layton New York Newspaper Editions – This is another promo for the game, “Unwound Future”. They are the New York Newspapers. Seller says, “You are bidding on a set of two different newspaper advertisements for Professor Layton and the Unwound Future that appeared around the US during the fall of 2010. These are the amNY edition. The ads spans four pages per newspaper for a total of 8 pages.(If you have any other editions such as the one from Washington DC or San Fransisco, I’d be willing to trade for them. Please contact me!!)”.
Espio the Chameleon Plush – It’s from the “Sonic the Fighters” game which was only available in Japan. The game was later released in a Sonic collection game in NA but this plush pre-dates that release. So why is this plush rare? Well, 1).only available in Japan, and 2)this is the only Espio plush. Seller says, “Up for auction is one brand new Espio the Chameleon plush UFO catcher. Mint with original tag. Plush was released in 1996 by Sega in Japan. Espio first appeared in Knuckles’ Chaotix for the Sega 32X in 1995. Item has been stored in a dust-free, smoke-free, pet-free, child-free, climate controlled environment since original purchase date. Adult owned from a private collection.” Thanks **Toni!
8FT SUPER MARIO 80’s COLLECTIBLE STATUE – The last Mario display like this was listed at 7ft, but I guess it’s either or. The starting price is $400, and if you happen to have room in your house to fit this display I’d say BID! I think any Super Mario maniac would love to own this display but shipping will probably be the deal breaker.
TurboGrafx-16 Neon Sign Display – I am not sure if this is official or not. It’s hard to say since the fakes are not normally as bulking like this one, but it doesn’t say “Grafx” which might seal the deal. It would help to see the sticker at back.
Red Dead Redemption Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console – This was won at an IGN competition. Not available for sale to the public, and being only 3 available world wide makes this one a heck of a collectors item. It’s not mentioned in the auction but in the pictures the seller shows the letter of authenticity from Rockstar games. Make sure to ask him if it comes with the console.
iD Anthology Complete Game Set Posters Cds Tshirt tags
Resident Evil Afterlife Katana Sword – Actual sword from the movie.
Resident Evil Movie Latex Lab Suit – technically these are suppose to be “Umbrella” lab suits, but they are known as “Latex Lab Suits” in the movie. You don’t even get the cool gas masks from the pics. Lame!
1988 Original Nintendo Super Mario Ceiling Fan in Box – quite pricy, but hey at least you get the box right?

Ties:
Don’t ask me how I keep finding these ties 😉
Sega Genesis Retro Video Game Novelty Tie – Haven’t seen one like this before. On it is everything “sega”.
Sonic the Hedgehog Silk Tie – Has the classic Sonic artwork.

Good luck!
