- Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Roadmap is released. The Year 5 roadmap has a lot of reworks and 6 new operators.
Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 is expected to be a little bit different from the previous seasons. In the past players were used to the fact that each Rainbow Six Siege year roadmap will feature 8 operators divided by 4 meaning 2 operators per season. However, the Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 roadmap shows us that there will be 6 operators coming up with this year. This is, of course, frustrating for the fans of the game. Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 roadmap also showed us a lot of changes coming into the game. These changes are generally done towards resetting the existing pool of maps, let us check them out.
Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 1 Operation Void Edge is bringing us Iana and Oryx as operators. There is also an Oregon rework, and a Tachanka rework. The Orgon rework will change the layout of the amp and hopefully will create a better map for competitive use. According to the roadmap, at Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 2 we are also going to get 2 new operators from Norway and South Africa. Also, the House map will be reworked. House is one of the most iconic but the least competitive map in the game. Recently was removed from the map pool this will make an interesting rework.
In Season 3 we are getting 1 new operator currently the nationality is unknown to us. Skyscraper map will be reworked and there will more changes with core game mechanics. Also According to the Roadmap in Year 4, we are getting a Thai operator and a Chalet Rework. All of these changes are welcome because all of those maps needed the reworks. However, the amount of the reworks is insane and players might feel like there is no new content delivered for a year. We all saw the recent reworks of the maps are different but around 50% of the areas are generally the same. We do hope that Ubisoft thought about the potential consequences of not delivering a new map for an entire year and only 6 operators.
