On a recent stream Ninja explains why he is taking a break from Apex Legends to Focus on Fortnite World Cup.
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has had a busy month. Among his stops, was Europe, California and finally NYC for the launch of the Galaxy S10. Finally back home, and resuming his streaming schedule one can only wonder what Ninja will be focusing on.
With news released regarding Ninja receiving money from EA to play Apex Legends during its launch, one would think he would be keeping it in his agenda. Ninja was asked on stream about being “done with apex”. Ninja responds to the viewer stating he is “Not done with Apex” but will be focusing on the Fortnite World Cup.
Is Ninja good enough to qualify for the World Cup?
Now that Ninja has confirmed he is going to focus and grind the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers, does he have what it takes to make it? Although Ninja made it very clear, at the end of 2018, that his 2019 would be even bigger. However the business Ninja takes away from the gaming Ninja. The start of 2019 has been primarily business but it now looks like Ninja will be taking a serious stab at qualifying for the World Cup.
Ninja’s last major qualification came during the Winter Royale tournament. He did qualify but knocked out during the semifinals, missing the grand finals by 2 positions. For those who might might not remember, the Winter Royale Semis went through a major change mid tournament with the addition of the infinity blade. Ninja talks about missing out on the Finals:
