- One of the most popular streamers Imane” Pokimane” Anys signed an exclusive streaming deal with Twitch and will not be streaming on Mixer.
The Streaming wars continue. These days when we take a look at the streaming platform market we can see a number of different contenders. Currently, without a doubt, Twitch has the lead in the market. But recently they have lost several members of their ranks. First Ninja and later Shroud joined to Mixer. Mixer is run by Microsoft and they are trying to establish themselves as a big name in the streaming. Also, several games such as Call of Duty signed exclusivity deals with Youtube. But this does not mean Twitch is going down, they are still by far the most popular streaming platform and according to recent news, Imane “Pokimane” Anys signed a contract with Twitch.

Pokimane regarding her decision to stay on Twitch stated “Since I began my gaming career on Twitch six years ago, the platform has given me such an incredible opportunity to create content and connect with people around the world. The community of streamers on Twitch, as well as the community I’ve built around my channel, both mean so much to me. I want to continue to make a lasting impact on the world of live streaming, and I truly believe there’s no other place that has the infrastructure and tools that will allow me to do so.” Currently, we do not have the details of her contract.
Pokimane signing a contract with Twitch is big news. She is the most popular female streamer in the world. Recently several other big names signed contracts with Twitch like DrLupo, LIRIK, TimTheTatman. Ninja opened a way for other streamers in this regard. He signed the first exclusive streaming deal with Mixer. Even though he lost a lot of his viewer base, this allowed for other streamers to ask for contracts. Pokimane has nearly 4 million followers on Twitch and nearly 17 million across all social platforms. Twitch still has the upper hand in the streaming wars for now.
