Stipe Miocic and Call of Duty Black Ops 4 doesn’t seem to make sense in the same sentence as Stipe is a professional UFC fighter. However, he has picked up a new hobby, and if he’s committed like he is as a UFC fighter, he’ll definitely be up there with some of the most popular streamers on Twitch.
Who is Stipe Miocic?
Those of you who watch the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships) might be familiar with Stipe Miocic. But for those who never watched the sport should know that Stipe’s a UFC fighter, and a good one at that. He’s a mixed martial artist / fireman and was born in Cleveland and had a long career in the UFC. He was the UFC Heavyweight Champion and defended the title 3 times before conceding it to Daniel Cormier on July 7 of this year.
Stipe Miocic is looking for a rematch with Daniel Cormier, but in the meantime Stipe picked up a different hobby. Adding to his list of personal achievements, he started to play Call of Duty Black Ops 4.
UFC Fighter + Black Ops 4 Streaming
The words “UFC” and “Black Ops 4” would probably find themselves in the same sentence if Activision advertises with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. But UFC Fighter + Black Ops 4? Now that is something interesting. It’s not a secret that many professional athletes love video games as Neymar Jr playing Black Ops 4 last month was no surprise. He’s one of the most popular soccer players in the world, and still has time to play games. Well a new shift is happening with Stipe Miocic stepping into the video game world publicly.
We say publicly because he hasn’t mentioned anything about video games, or playing them on his personal time in the media before. So it was quite a nice surprise that he’s on line now gaming.
Stipe Miocic Stream
While Miocic is waiting around for a second shot at the UFC Heavyweight title belt, he’s streaming Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and Blackout. His stream can be found here (https://www.twitch.tv/stipe__miocic). At the moment he has 6,645 followers.
Some might think this is a small number compared to other well established streamers, however, Miocic just started out. He has been growing steadily in the past few weeks and he’s very thankful for all his new followers.
Here’s a clip of Stipe engaging with the chatroom and making a joke that he’ll wear a suit the next time he stream Black Ops 4:
Taking a closer look at his account shows that he still has some work to do. Looking at his “About” section on Twitch says:
“The official twitch channel of UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic (about me coming soon)”
This has been the same since he started his first twitch stream back on April 18th of this year. Miocic is definitely a busy guy, being a professional UFC fighter means he needs to be training almost every day to show he’s a contender for the Heavyweight Championship belt. This means he’ll also need to fight in the prelims to work his way back up. So for those of you who are a little disappointed that Stipe cannot stream every day, don’t worry as Christmas is right around the corner and most likely we’ll see Miocic streaming Black Ops 4.
Although Stipe Miocic is not your also star gamer, he’s definitely working towards being a better Call of Duty player as he does know his way around and manages to come back from being flash-banged by the enemy:
It will be interesting to see how Stipe builds his Twitch account, and if he’ll possibly consider this a full time job once he decides he had enough with the UFC.
