The first title for Valorant was actually Project A. Of course after several months Riot Games finally announced the name Valorant. The game was heavily advertised on Twitch until now through streamers. Riot Games broke several Twitch records in the meantime as the only way to access the Closed Beta was to watch Valorant streams. According to the developers the closed beta will continue for another week. The closed beta will end on May 28, 2020. Valorant release date is June 2, 2020. This is less than two weeks. This means Rout Games is comfortable with the release date and believe they can solve most of the current issues within the game. Also, their campaign for marketing was successful and they want to hammer it while it is still hot. The game is free-to-play and it will available right away in most regions. Amazon also released a shooter game called Crucible and it appears as though they want to crush it even before it gains some momentum.
Valorant will be getting two new agents and a new map at the release and this will make the game much different according to the developers. We do know that Riot Games is preparing the game for the scene of esports right away since the game will have a Ranked mode from the start. We are expecting Valorant tournaments right away after the launch since most of the players were able to play it for nearly 6 weeks already. Riot Games is ready to enter to esports arena with another game and time will tell whether they will be successful or not. Do not forget Valorant release date is June 2, 2020.
